Market Day Recount

The 6 Musketeers fighting for money


YAHOO!! The crowd goes wild as they make their entry to the fantastic market day held at the school hall.
The rooms 4,5,6 and 7 tried very hard on thinking of what they should sell at market day.
We had to do it in terms of financial literacy and had our market day on the last week of term 3.


A few minutes ago students who were selling had to set up their stalls.
“UGH this is sooo hard!” me and my group exclaimed as we set up our stall and put icing on our cupcakes.
After lunch we all went to the hall and the students that were selling went behind their decorative stalls.
“Welcome” Noah and Pila greets the parents as they walk in to receive their fake money.


Next as the parents came in they started exploring the different types of stalls they see surrounding them .
We stand behind our stall waiting for a customer to arrive at our decorative stall.
As I wait I just listen to the music that Miss Bound Played at our market day.
Before the market day started, me and my group predicted we would not earn any money until…..


“FINALLY!!” The 6 Musketeers exclaim as a customer buys one of our decorative cupcakes.
So that means our prediction was wrong.
As time gone by heaps of parents came and brought our flower clips and cupcakes.
All together we made a total of $111 dollars to share amongst all six of us
(me, Mele, Charlotte, Malennie, Anaiyah and Sina).


 After the market day I was so proud of me and my group.
We collaborated and worked as a team to get through all the work.
We also achieved our goal which was to get at least $80 but we went over which was so surprisingly.
 I had so much fun I didn't even want the market day to end.

Classroom Budget

Hi guys my name is Genesis and I have been working on a Classroom budget with my friend Charlotte. For Maths we had to work out a class room budget for one of our financial literacy activity.Me and Charlotte decided we wanted to work together so we did. We had to do it because we were doing it like a business so we had to pay rent and others. We tried our best to do it on google sheets but some of our answers were wrong so I decided to do it for homework today so I tried my best and realized what we did wrong so I fixed the mistakes and yea.

Motat Trip

On Wednesday July 3 rooms 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 went on a trip to Motat. Some students have already been there last year in terms of flight but this year we went in terms of Force and Motion so that meant we didn't get to see the other par of Motat (Motat 2).

First, we got ready and Mr Vega checked our bags to see if we had any lollies or junk food. Lucky no on had any. We lined up and went outside to do the roll and count how much students their were.  I was in Malennies mum's group with Charlotte,Sina,Nico,Malennie,Lofa and myself. There were 3 groups and it went like.
Group 1, 1.1 1.2 1.3 1.4
Group 2, 2.1 2.2 2.3 2.4
Group 3 went like 3.1 3.2 3.3 3.4 

Afterwards we walked onto the bus and made our way to Motat(Museum of Transport and Technology). When we arrived our instructor Catherine walked us into Motat and took us to our meeting place. When we arrived at our meeting place she told us some rules. They were not to run in the Museum, stay with your adult, and don't touch the things your not allowed to touch.

Toolkits

Hi it's Genesis and today me and Charlotte(Best Friend) presented at toolkits this year. We were resenting to others kahoot and how to create one. I was very nervous at the start but once we started to get to know and help others it started to get fun. At the end we did each others quizzes which was really fun. I liked how me and my buddy collaborated together to get the job done. We then went to our next station, me and Charlotte stuck together the whole day and also went to the same sessions together. We both went to Making Movies with Helene, Zoe and Lizzie from Wesley Int and also Scratch coding your own game with Kaden from Wesley Int. I really had fun at toolkits this year.

Activity 6 of the Summer Learning Journey

To keep it alive, you must give it 3 ml of water every day.
Question-Over one full year, how much water will you need to give your cactus plant?
I think the answer is- 1095 ml
The reason why I think it is 1095 ml is because in a year there is 365 days and I did 365 x 3 because to keep you cactus plant alive you need 3ml of water every day. Which equals 1095 ml.

1000ml+90ml=1090ml+5ml=1095 ml

My favorite uniform is the silver ferns uniform because I play netball and I would like to be like them and I also like the uniform because it shows a big fern at the bottom of the dress.

Activity 4 of Summer learning Journey

I would like to go visit Tane Mahuta because I would like to visit new trees and plants and also learn about them. My school Wesley Primary went on camp to Waitakere Ranges for one night but it was only room 3 & 4 and we got to learn about the Kauri diebak and why it is spreading and it was so fun.
